Troop 91 is presently chartered at Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church of Columbia, South Carolina.
Troop 91 is celebrating more than 50 years of Scouting. The troop has moved
around over the past 50 years, and the names and rosters have changed, but Troop 91 has
remained dedicated to improving the lives of the boys and adults associated with it. If you are an alumnus of Troop 91,
or know of someone who is, please click here to get your information on the alumni roster
or email the webmaster at lmcgraw@sc.rr.com.
Troop 91 was originally chartered on March 8, 1949, at the State St. Baptist Church, Cayce, SC (1949-1952)
under Scoutmaster H. M. Bowers. Later Scoutmasters included John Robie Elliott, Lester Elliott,
Prentice Love, Carl Payne Jr., Joseph K. Carter, Richard (Dick) Hilton, Brent Garvin,
Doyle Benjamin, and our present Scoutmaster, Jerry Hilbish. As a Scout with the troop, you may have attended meetings in the Scout Hut, a church basement or
hall, or on some land in Gaston owned by one of the Scoutmasters. But you were always active in the serious business of being a boy.
